THE PEOPLE, Tanzania

We found the people of Botswana and Tanzania to be incredibly friendly and warm. They seemed genuinely happy to see us and to help us with just about anything we needed. Their pride in their countries was also quite obvious. Meeting the adults and the children of these two countries was definitely one of the highlights of our visit. And of course getting to meet and interact with the Maasi of Tanzania who straddle an ancient culture and lifestyle but make some limited concessions to modernity was so fascinating.
